The Turkish Shipowners’ Association visited TCG Anadolu, which is the pride of Turkiye and which continues sea acceptance tests.

TCG Anadolu will not only support the deterrence of the Turkish Naval Forces in the surrounding seas, but also give the capability of force projection.

TCG Anadolu, the largest ship of the Turkish Navy with a length of 231 meters and a width of 32 meters, will have a maximum speed of 20.5 miles and a range of 9,000NM.

TCG Anadolu is being built by Turkish Engineers and Workers at the Sedef Shipyard within the body of TURKON Holding, which is also a member of the Turkish Shipowners’ Association, in such a way that it has a very large local population.

In this context, in order to see the capabilities of our national pride on the spot and to examine the ongoing works in place, Mr. Cihan Ergenç, President of the Turkish Shipowners’ Association, and Mr. Murat Er, member of the Board of Directors, recently participated to the SAT sail of TCG Anadolu. During this sail Mr. Metin Kalkavan hosted our President.  Mr Cihan Ergenç presented a photo of our glorious leader Gazi Mustafa Kemal Ataturk to theship’s CO in the comemoration of the TSA visit.

The two important determining elements of a country’s sea power are warships and merchant fleet. It is of great importance that the capabilities of these assets are mutually known and at the same time that they develop cooperation. TCG Anadolu is one of the important projects that will contribute to the fulfillment of this mission as well as its very important missions.

In this context, we congratulate Sedef Shipyard, which is close to the end of the building process of TCG Anadolu and has managed this success with its engineers and workers, those who have contributed to the realization of this project as the Turkish Shipowners’ Association, and we congratulate our Turkish Naval Forces, which allows us to look confidently into the future.
