
A Concentrated Inspection Campaign (CIC) on Cargo Securing will take place from 1 September to 30 November 2026 under the Paris, Tokyo, Mediterranean and Black Sea Port State Control (PSC) Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs)
According to the official letter received from the Directorate General of Maritime Affairs of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, Concentrated Inspection Campaigns (CICs) are carried out every year on specific topics within the framework of Port State Control (PSC).
For 2026, the inspection topic has been chosen as “Cargo Securing.”
Therefore, from 1 September to 30 November 2026, a Cargo Securing Concentrated Inspection Campaign (CIC) will be conducted at the same time under the Paris, Tokyo, Mediterranean and Black Sea PSC MoUs.
During this campaign, inspectors will check cargo securing arrangements on ships, cargo securing equipment, the Cargo Securing Manual, and the crew’s knowledge and application of the related procedures.
Members are advised to make the necessary preparations to avoid any problems during inspections and to review the attached documents, checklist and guidance.
