The Young Shipowners Group started with the launch held in Karaköy.

The Young Shipowners Group Launch took place at the Gallada restaurant at The Peninsula Istanbul Hotel on September 14.

Mr. Cihan Ergenc, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Turkish Shipowners’ Association, made the launch speech.

Cihan Ergenc stated that it is an honor to bring together young people who will sign these innovations by bringing innovations in this process, which will be a long way; we are also there and we will Decipher these innovations.

Baki Akar, Ecem Kalkavan, Elif Uzuner, Eray Ergenç, Halilefe Uzuner, Irem Kalkavan, Mustafa Er and Oguz Er, who formed the first executive board of the Young Shipowners Group, attended the event hosted by 33 young shipowners and TAB Board members.

Speaking on behalf of the executive board, TAB Board member Elif Uzuner stated that the group, which will be volunteer-based, will consist of people who own ships between the ages of 20 and 40, actively work or study in the sector, and that Decently they aim to bring together young shipowners, strengthen relations with universities and increase the representation of Turkish shipping Decently abroad.
