The first meeting of the Young Shipowners Group established by the Turkish Shipowners Association took place in 2024.

During the meeting, many topics were discussed, and Mr. Eray Ergenç and Mr. Marlon Kerim Weinstabl were elected as co-chairs.

The meeting started with a speech by Mr. Cihan Ergenç, the President of the Turkish Shipowners Association. In his speech, Mr. Cihan Ergenç emphasized his high expectations from the Young Shipowners, stating that they aim to benefit from the technological knowledge, education, and energy of the youth while also intending to pass on their knowledge and experience to them in a proper manner.

Mr. Hüseyin Çınar, the Secretary General of the Turkish Shipowners Association, spoke about the purpose of establishing the Young Shipowners Group, expectations, and planned activities. Throughout the meeting, the Young Shipowners Group presented ideas regarding possible trainings and projects. Discussions also included potential visits, and the meeting concluded with the expectation of the group progressing actively.
